Argh, hearing about Hitler right now...I don´t know how you speak about it, but we deal with the second world war in alost every subject: Religious Education, History, German, Education Science, Society Sciance...
Well, since I LIVE in Germany...
But...
If you see the memorials for countless victims; people who were born the wrong way, loved in the wrong way, thought in the wrong way or were just...superfluous...
Sometimes it feels af it chases you. You have some kind of responsibility, although you have done nothing. But thinking about what happened right here...what some of my own family members did or might have done...makes me cry...
Just imagine that...you love someone and have to die for that, because some people decide what is "good" and "natural" and what is "dangerous", yes, THEY DEFINE what is LOVE! Right now, there a countries in which homosexuals are killed. Or have to pay money. Pay money because they love! Ridicilous! See the areas in the world where homosexuality is punished: [link]
I will visit a monument in Dachau or so, where a concentration camp was. Just imagening I would have been killed here a few generations before...

Well! Yes, I survived! After conversations with various physics-teachers I understood what´s going on here. And it´s just great! We decided of which element a star in Cygnus mostly consists of...and got a pretty, pretty picture of a nebula...I really love physics...it´s complex and only then unlogical, when we don´t know enough. Understanding the world around me - the beautiful feeling of looking at the stars and at yourself, knowing that these elements in your hands were once part of a star, which fusionated them to more heavy elements! Some even in a supernova! And you know why some stars are blue, why soap-bubbles appear very coloured, why UV-radiation is dangerous...
It is real beauty; the beauty of the understanding mind.
You suddenly KNOW something, go around and...see the world like never before. Details catch your attention which have been unimportant to you, but know that you know them better, they get a special meaning, you connect them to other things; you think about the world as a whole, or at least you begin with that, seeing how great it´s mechanisms are.
Some religious people (not all, just some) say science take the world´s...aura, it´s preciousness. But if you know how complicated and ingenious the nature is, you have even more respect for it. What those people say shows ignorance.
That´s what science means to me.

My mood changed a lot now...
Try to understand; to understand the nature around you, the people, everything surrounding. Keep your mind bright and open for new views, because then you belong to the people who can make a change, and if it´s only a little one...every of these persons is important...every single one.
